Welcome to my world of cards. This is my journey of joy using mainly Cricut and Copics. You will see some different techniques from time to time and I hope you find some ideas that give you inspiration. Everything that I post is meant to be shared and if you wish to "scraplift", I'm happy to share. Have fun while you're are!
2019 Update: Follow me into a new world of weaving and various of types of fiber art. I will continue to make cards, my original love, but also branching out.

A gift from my Mom
Earlier this week, my Mom gave me my grandmother's "Granny" wedding band. She passed away several years ago but she's never forgotten. We actually celebrate her birthday every year with the entire family. My Mom has 1 sister and 2 brothers, so I have 7 cousins, which all have kids. So we had about 30 in the family now and continue to get together for her birthday and also for Christmas. Some of my favorite memories involve Granny and Pap paw and going to their house every Sunday after church when I was growing up.
Granny was such a crafty lady, she always had some project going... she made wreaths, crocheted everything that could be crocheted, quilted, and various other crafts, but most important, she loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She welcomed everyone in her home and never met a stranger. The note that my Mom gave to me with the ring said I was more like her than any other grandkids and I take that as a compliment.
Anyway.... the ring was about 1 size to small, so I took it to Jared's and had it sized and here it is next to my wedding band. My band is nontraditional; having the band and diamond combined, so I wanted to wear Granny's next to my band. I think they look great together, but more importantly, it was Granny's.
No card today, just sharing some memories and a very special gift that I will always cherish.
