Welcome to my world of cards. This is my journey of joy using mainly Cricut and Copics. You will see some different techniques from time to time and I hope you find some ideas that give you inspiration. Everything that I post is meant to be shared and if you wish to "scraplift", I'm happy to share. Have fun while you're are!
2019 Update: Follow me into a new world of weaving and various of types of fiber art. I will continue to make cards, my original love, but also branching out.

Cocktails anyone?

Since snark is my middle name, this worked right into my card sentiment book. As you can see, I made 2 cards with the same sentiment, just different cocktails and colors. The cocktails are Tim Holtz dies with the front printing from my Cricut.

Stripping again?!?

I wanted to make more masculine cards, so I used masculine colors and added the animals. I used a dies from my stash, a Tim Holtz die that needed surgery to separate the animals. The strips are from dies that are from Taylored Expressions.

Tim Holtz feathers

Taylored Expressions has a new set of feathers, but in stead of buying new, I used what I had. The "you are" is new from TE. I just wanted to show you a twofer.

I used distress oxides and then clear embossed about 3 times.

2 fun fold cards

What can sometimes look so simple isn't simple at all. In the case of these 2 cards, I altered the measurements a small amount and that what probably what threw it off. I prefer for all the A2 cards I make to end up with final measurements of 4" x 5.25". While this probably isn't necessary, I personally think it allows room in the envie for whatever bulk there may be.

I used stamps and sentiments from Your Next Stamp for the 1st card and colored with copics.

The 2nd card, I used the wine glass from Your Next Stamp and the inside drinks are Tim Holz dies.

Anniversary Card

I die cut a bunch of flowers from the Tim Holtz wildflowers that has been in my stash for a while. I have used them before, but was never 100% happy. This time I was. I watercolored all and added to the cards in different ways.

I used a Taylored Expressions masking oval on the 1st one. A die cut from frame Your Next Stamp on the 2nd and then just added some inking then added to the corners on the 3rd one.

Woven Strips

TE came out with die to cut paper strips. These come in 3 sizes for the width, but I only purchased two. The card above is using the strips with the widest strip and simply woven together. I did tack it with tap as i went to keep it all together before I glued it on the base. I cut a wildflower from a Tim Holtz die and the sentiment is a set I've had for some time.

Sympathy Card

I used this die on a Christmas Card last week, but wanted to used them a different way this week. I cut the die in 2 different greens and layered them up. I had strips from each color leftover, but not large enough for a mat, so I improvised and used both colors to make the mat. Another simple card, but yet I loved how it turned out. The die is from Tim Holtz.

Happy Thanksgiving and a card

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving, eats lots of food and has a great day. Remember we are all blessed, probably each in different ways, but still blessed.

Now a Christmas Card for you - This cute little truck is from Whimsy Stamps and I did some paper piecing on it with black and white checked paper. I added some trees from a Tim Holtz die cute. The wreath on the back of the truck is one of several options that come with the Whimsy set.

I hope you have enjoyed your day as well as maybe a new idea for a card.

Tim Holtz/Sizzix Die

I looked at this die several time before I pulled the trigger and purchased it. I knew it would probably be tedious to put all the inlays in, I just didn't realize how beautiful the end result would be. I used some paper pads from Tim Holtz that came from my stash. I backed each piece of colored cardstock with  adhesive and then die cut one.

Friday Five - Pic Heavy

If you are new to my blog, Friday Five are either images you've already seen, worked in a different way, different colors or layouts. It could be simply a card that I'm not as crazy about. I usually have a idea in my mind, but that doesn't necessarily mean it turns out that way.

TFL and have a great weekend!

Birthday Card

A mini slimline using one of the cover plates from Taylored Expressions. This card featured the basic cut in black and I used the white (from another cut) and inked in 2 shades of purple and 1 of blue. The happy die is a Tim Holtz and the birthday is a simple strips from Taylored Expressions.

Birthday Card

This card is also made using dies from The Greetery. I used the branch and some of the accessories. I heat embossed the the tips of the feathers and a small portion of the heart. I did emboss the whole star. I added the leaves from some Tim Holtz dies and then inked them.

Christmas Cards

This is a set by Tim Holtz - looks like his stuff, huh? I did a Jennifer McGuire and added ears to turn it into a dog. Colored with copics and used the Christmas greenery set from Sizzix (Tim Holtz) for the boughs across the top.

Whimsy Stamps Slimline Christmas Card

This is using a stamp set from Art Impressions from last year. This is one of my favorite sets as it can be used so many different ways. I colored the images with copics and used Tim Holtz's evergreen thinlets for the boughs of the tree to hang the ornaments. I used ink for the background spattered with white paint for snow and then added some stickles at the bottom.
