No project today, just giving kudos to a store I've ordered from twice. I have ordered crinkle ribbon twice and both times, it has been a breeze! I place the order, pay through pay pal (which is my preference) and get a confirmation. Kimberly then keeps me updated with when the items have shipped and I normally have within 5 days through USPS.I love it! I don't have to pay extra shipping to get it here quick and she does what she says she'll do. Check out her items and her blog - great ideas, I've scraplifted a few.

I have completely fallen in love with the Saturated Canary digi's - expect to see many more in the future! The details and the eyes are just beautiful. They do take a little more time to color (with copics), but definitely worth the time. I did more a mono color scheme for this card, with the cardstock, trim and even her dress colors.

I LOVED THIS CARD!!!!!!! It was still simple to make, just a small about of coloring with copics on the sheep, but the sentiments are what make this card GREAT! Again, I used some scrap paper - the red polka dot and just matted everything in black. I computer generated the front and inside sentiment. Hope you can use this for a card of your own or at least get some ideas.
By the way, the sheep are a digi from Just Inklined.

Masculine Birthday Card

This week is turning into a simple card week. I should have themed it - Make it in minutes! This card was made with scraps, simple strips of patterned paper, I cut hearts from the yellow and then cut in 2 pieces for the flame. Inked all the edges and then added some doodling. Stamped Happy Birthday with one of the $1 stamps I picked up sometime back and it's done.

MFT - Anniversary Card

I don't buy a lot of stamps (that aren't digital)but when I saw this set from My Favorite Things, all the endless possibilites ran through my mind.
This is just one example from the set, I'm sure you'll be seeing more. Colored with copics and used my Cricut for the Cityscape.

Pop up Valentine

This is my favorite for the week. I can't take credit for the idea, I saw on a blog (I sorry I didn't remember who, or I'd give them credit). I had the typewriter digi from Pink Petticoat and the rest was just putting it together. It did take some trial and error, the first desk was too big, and I did cut the red polka paper too big, but left it, rather that starting over again for the 3rd time. I added a "Home Sweet Home" picture from a set of clear stamps. The front of the card is computer generated.

Well, I can say if I was a man, I would like this card. Heck, I'm a woman and think it's great! This is one of the great digi's from Victoria Case. She is one of the artist that drew me to digi's. I'm not even sure she has digi's for sale anymore. I know she has rubber stamps, but I think the digi's are limited, if available at all.
I colored the image with copics, cut her out, added some flowers and a red feather from my stash. T think I bought these several years ago and I'm finally using. Yeh! I kept the mats simple, because I wanted the attention on the maid.

I thought it might be a good time for a few Valentines, so I'm starting off Monday with a super simple Valentine. I used a MS heart punch. I punched 4 strips and layered them all on heart paper and then added some lace and a rub on sentiment. It's a little busy, but I loved the results.

I hope everyone has started out the New Year with a Bang!I've been busy working at our business, since my husband is gone on a hunting trip. I have also been busy preparing W-2, 1099's, 941 quarterly and yearly reports, along with SUTA. I have been covered in PAPER!!!!!! Thank goodness, January doesn't come but once a year. Every January I have new respect for bookkeepers and accountants! But I'm done for a couple of weeks and then it will be time to get ready for tax prep. So anyway...... I can craft today! Yeh!!!!

From the Cricut cart Inspired Heart. These were great to cut out and since I keep them to two colors, it was quick to put together. I should have picked my flowers BEFORE I picked my colored cardstock, because the green background doesn't look as good with the blue flowers. Still, I thought they were both elegant. That's what I usually go for on a sympathy card.

I was asked to make 16 of these for a Mom who wanted to thank friends and co-workers for helping with her son. She picked the sentiment and I did the rest. I did have some trouble finding an African Village, but I came close with the hut and she approved the proof and was happy. Colored with copics.

It seems I'm really struggling with new ideas for baby cards, so I just made a simple one with balloons. I punched the balloons out of three different colors of blue, added some embroidery floss and some rub on sentiments. I liked how it turned out and think I'll make one in pink.

A simple stamp, colored with copics. What makes this card special is the ribbon weaving that is the mat for the stamped and colored image. I had some beautiful Stampin' Up ribbon and just simply cut a square and added the woven ribbon. I loved how it turned out, but the card is heavier that I thought it would be. I bet it will require extra postage?!

I got inspiration for this card from a magazine. It is simply scalloped circles folded and then joined to make a flower. I wasn't 100% happy with how this turned out, but it's still pretty.

Sentiment and stamps from My Creative Time. I loved the initial idea of this card, but wish I had left the white stripes off the pants. I think it ended as too much. I did like the rhinestone belt and dog collor. I'll make another one and change up the pants.

I gave the card to my parents for Thanksgiving to let them know how much I appreciate them and everything they do for me and my family. I used an embossing folder from QuikCutz for the leaves, added some ribbon and it was done.

I used a Tim Holtz Sizzix die for the dress and dress form. I used actual fabric for the dress on the card on the left and paper for the dress on the right. I used a Wilton dollie for the embellishment adding the sentiment that I computer generated. After I finished both of these, I wasn't happy with them. They still need something else, I just haven't figured out what I'm missing. If you have suggestions, please post a comment.

Even with all our modern equipment, die cutters; I have 2 Cricuts - the Imagine and the E2 and the Sizzix Big Shot, I still cut the man out by hand. The pattern was in a magazine I've had for quite a while. Of course he reminds me of Bond, James Bond. My favorite Bond was Sean Connery.

We went to the in-laws for Christmas Eve, followed by our family Christmas, both kids plus our daughters boyfriend and then next day on to my parents house Christmas Day. Christmas Card with a Jack Russell Terrier

For those of you who are new to my blog or aren't regular followers - I LOVE JACK RUSSELL TERRIERS! I have 2 of them currently and I had one that lived until she was almost 16. I had never had a house dog until the kids were 1 and 4 and now that they are 20 and 23, I couldn't live without them. So, this year in honor of my Jacks, I made several cards with a Jack Russell. The Jack on the card looks more like our female (simply because, she was easier to color). Of course as with kids, I love them equally. Above you'll see a couple of the different style, although I did make more styles than just to 2 shown.

This digi is from Bugaboo Stamps and what I love most about this card is the color combination. I don't generally think of a gold/mustard color being a Christmas color, but this turned out beautifully. Colored with copics and for those of you who don't know (although I sure most do) I pick out my cardstock before I start coloring, especially if I have a specific color combination in mind.

Anytime I find a "Hippe", I normally buy it! My daughter is a bit of a Hippie. I used to cringe with the outfits she would come out of her room wearing and mow that's she moved out, I still sometimes cringe, but mostly, I learned that that's just her style. So this girl appealed to me and I just had to have it. I know, you've heard that before, but it's true! Colored with copics, this Saturated Canary digi turned out better than I expected, and I really didn't want to part with it, but alas, that's what I do.

I used the Cricut Sweethearts Cartridge to cut the "sweetheart" for the front of this card. I used George (with the shift) for the hearts in various sizes. While it is simple, I thought the card packed quite a punch.

The main focus on this card is the ribbon/trim. I found this trim at our LSS "Scrappin in the City" along with several other beautiful trims. I love getting something different, the only problem with that sometimes is figuring out how to affix. I used double sided tape and it did seem to work OK. Now, the true test will be to see if it actually holds for several days.I computer generated the sentiment and just used some scraps for the paper ribbons.

A friend asked me to make a card for her husband for his birthday and one of his favorite hobbies is golf. I remembered seeing (and making) a card like this about 4 years ago and found my magazine and went to work. The pics are self explainatory, but most of the cuts were made by hand (yes, I said by hand - no cricut involved). I did use nesties for the circle for the golf ball.
This would be a perfect card for a Dad or a husband.

It's fun to make "corny" cards sometimes and this one is definitely CORNY! The cow stamp is a Technique Tuesday clear stamp and I generated the sentiment. I added an embossed background and added some doodling with a black marker and a white gel pen. Simple enough!

I love a vintage look and I think the paper fits the bill on this one. Several years ago I purchased this set of Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders. So, it's really quick and fun to do. I use this set every year to make at least 2 or 3 cards. I'm not sure this set is still in circulation, but maybe you can get an idea from the card.

For those who love orange, this card is for you. I cut rectangles out of scrap paper and then used a corner rounder on the edges. I added some Baker's Twine on the white portions of the cake. I used seed beads on the orange portion of the cake and some stick pins I had from a long time ago. Hope this inspires your creativity.

Do you remember S'more from when you were a kid - I do! I saw this idea in a magazine and it was just too cute not to scraplift. I used the swiss dots cuttlebug, but I scored first before I embosses. I used a spellbinders scalloped circle die for the bite on the corner. I made one as a get well card, and one as a thank you card.

How about a Santa Suit? I used a Sizzix Die for the white and then embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I added a belt and used a belt buckle from my stash. It took just minutes to make and would make a great card if you're looking for ideas for you personal cards.

Happy Thanksgiving! I have you have plans today to spend time with your family or a special friend(s). I am going to my parents house for Thanksgiving lunch. We tradionally swap years between my parents and my in-laws. I know we'll have a huge meal and then come home and be lazy and back to work tomorrow. I don't shop on Black Friday as I have to go to work at our business. It usually ends up being a pretty busy for us and the shoppers are out and then determine that they need an oil change. But for you Black Friday Shoppers, get lots of good stuff!

The message on this card is what makes it so special. I used Cricut's George to cut the heart and I think Designer's Calender for the clock hands. Any clock hands would work. I used a border punch/embosser and then added rub-on numbers and the congratulations sentiment.

I just love old buttons! Any time I'm at an antique store or a flea market, I'm on the lookout for antique buttons. This Christmas tree is formed with buttons that I glued down used "The Ulimate Glue". That glue will hold anything! I just apply a small amount with a toothpick - it dries pretty quick and never have trouble with them falling off.

I made this card for a friend's wife. I used Cricut's Imagine Yummy Cart. I cut twice and had to push the gifts in closer together so that the card would fit in a 5 X 7 envople. I used an alphabet die from QuiKutz called Harvest. She really liked the card and I have been meaning to make another one and just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Just a quick card made from a Tim Holtz die that has a dress form, thread form and button called "Sewing Room". I used to cross stitch, so I have a lot of different colors of embroidery thread and used those to match the colors from the paper.

I found this paper in my stash and wanted to make a card using this theme. I have done some similar in the past, but this one, I wanted just olives. I admit I don't remember which Cricut cart the olives came from. I think Designers Calender. Added some doodling with a white gel pen. So colorful, I just loved it and it works great as a birthday card from a group.

What a sweet digi from Mo's digital pencil!! Colored with copics and used a ticket corner punch on the red, blue and card to add a little interest. I think whoever gets this card will smile and hopefully that will make them feel a little better.

Birthday Card

This is the 1st card I've made with Everyday Pop ups by Cricut. I only used the hot air balloon and some paper from Stampin 'Up. The inside really makes the card. I cut 3 balloons and attached together so that when the card opens, you get a dimensional balloon. I have ordered some Honeycomb paper, but until it comes in, I am using my imagination.
The cloud paper is from the cart Hopscotch for the Cricut Imagine.

Another sympathy card for you. As you can see, this one has very simple lines and I computer generated the sentiment. I used a border punch, nesties, added some pearls and it was pretty much done. I wanted the focus to be on the sentiment and I think I accomplished that. TFL

One of those funny...

stories. I was planting flowers in the rain on Friday, on a red clay bank and slipped and jammed my thumb. Not sure if it's broken, but it was black within the hour and throbs!! Now, you ask, why would you be planting in the rain??? Because, my Mom and Dad had been digging up Periwinkle all week and had it ready for Friday morning. They decided they were coming up (about an hour) so we could get it in the ground. It was just misting, but the ground was wet enough that the ground was slippery. It was quite comical when I fell. Hope you can visualize - my arms flailing and me going down an embankment - even I laughed. I was glad it was me instead of them - I figure being 20+ years younger, my bones are stronger, but I can tell you, this is going to make crafting this week, a little tougher - but as with most crafters, I will persevere.

Ribbon Cards

Remember the ribbons we won as kids at school for various competitions? I saw some similar to these in a magazine and it got my juices flowing. I bet I made at least 5 of these in various genre's. Here are 2 that made the photo cut. I used nesties for the top in graduating sizes and stamped the "love" and added buttons for the baby feet. Simple to make, but I loved how they turned out.

Belated Birthday Card

This idea came from the Cricut Messageboard. The OMG came from the Smiley cards cart and I just used a balloon punch that I have on hand. I stamped the face with a Peachy Keen stamp. These stamps are sooooo much fun because you can add any emotion you need for the occasion. I colored the eyes with a white gel pen and added cheeks with chalk. Another Rock Princess Card

I've had so much fun with Rock Princess! On this one, I used a star from the George cart and the girl if from Rock Princess (of course). I used a copic to give her hair some additional dimension and stickles on her polka dot shirt and black stickles on her boots. The sentiment inside reads: Have a rockin' birthday!

Super simple card that I think, packs a lot of punch! I used a Fiskars border punch for the scallops, added some lace and the finishing touch is the ribbon and button. I think the vintage look works well for a sympathy card, but could also work for a thank you or think of you card.

This was a really, really simple card, but it is so beautiful. Just using some straight cuts, lots of ink and some pearls and ribbon, it turned into an elegant card. I computer generated the sentiment and went from there. This design could be used for practically any card and I'm sure I will use it again, so be looking for it.

Rock Princess Birthday

This card was inspired from the Cricut MB and made with the Rock Princess Cart. I cut out all the pieces using my Gyspy. I did actually color the shoes on with a black marker.I also gave some dimension to her hair with a brown copic marker and added stickles to her shirt and the flourishes coming from the flower. There were a lot of pieces, but I loved how it turned out. Hope you do too!

Way too cute- who wouldn't LOL when getting this card? This is another from Bugaboo, colored with copics. I used 2 different embossing folders for the mat, added some ribbon and a little stickles to the bubbles. I thought it turned out great and hope you get some inspiration from it.

Halloween Card

This is probably my last Halloween card for the season (unless I change my mind - he he). Loved the look this cat had on it's face. Colored with copics and used some paper from a DCWV stack that I purchased several years ago. I also used the MS Drippy Goo punch with some purple cardstock. Do you all remember when that punch was going for close to $100 dollars on e-bay the first year it came out? Needless to say, I didn't get mine that year!

I'm always in the market for cheap embellishments that I can used on cards. I found this shoe in my stash and I know it's a least 4 years old. I had run across this somewhere that sold Wallies. I bet a lot of you know what Wallies are. I'm not even sure they are made anymore, but maybe I've "jogged" you memory and you'll find some in your stash. Its sure make a quick card.

Halloween Card

Another digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps. This stamp is really different from what they normally offer, but I liked it and wanted to give it try. I printed on the orange paper and made a shaped card using the pumpkin/stamp be my guide. I did change the stem portion from the stamp. I cut some brown and green cardstock for the stem and leaf. I also used a copic marker on the stem to give it a little bit of dimension.

Belated Birthday Card

I saw this idea in a magazine and thought I would give it a try. Now I will admit I only learned what an angry bird was about a month ago. You can tell I don't have an I phone. I made the bird with a simple circle punch and same with the wings, just used a smaller circle and then cut in half.I just had cut a small piece for the beak. I used some "puff paint" for the trail that he ( of course he's a man - ladies are too nice) leaves. I computer generated the sentiment.

I loved how this card turned out! I used the Everyday Pop Up cart and cut 3 balloons for the inside balloon and two for the front, so I would have a contrast for flags. The paper is from Stampin' Up and the background paper is from the Imagine cart Hopscotch.

Who doesn't love these legs??? Colored with copics and used Stickles to make them sparkle. I picked up some wide lace on a roll from Joanns. I think the black lace just adds more fun to the card.

I made the background paper in Microsoft word and printed on 2 different colors of cardstock.The cross is cut from Cricut's Designer Calender - 1 modified by clipping the off the "cloth". Anniversary Card

OK, this is totally scraplifted from the Cricut MB, but this was way too cute. The inside sentiment says "hope it rocks" The bed is from Everyday Paper Dolls. I used a Cuttlebug Embossing folder for the bedspread. I used my Gyspy for all the cuts, but found out that you can not cut the pillow the same size as the bed. My best suggestion would be to add you pillows and actually "drag" them to the bed to get the size you like.

50 and Fabulous

Another simple card, that must be my theme for the week, for that wonderful 50 year old. Sometimes, we don't want to give an over the hill card - but we want our friends/family to know that 50 is great! I can say that, because I'm 47, but I feel sure I'll make it through 50. I used some new spellbinders dies for the mat's on this card. Love how they cut and look, and it's soooooo fast to run them through my Big Shot. An anniversary card made with a digi from Doodle Pantry, colored with copics. I love anything that has that vintage look. I used Tim Holtz paper for the background called Retro Grunge and inked everything and still wasn't completely happy with how it turned out. The inside sentiment says "because I won! Happy Anniversary".

I was looking through a magazine and saw some printed digi's on Transparency Film and being cheap as I am, I wanted to try it with I digi that I already have rather than purchasing new ones. I had this digi from Mo's, so I gave it a try. Of course, after I had it printed, then I thought - Hmmmm, what to do with it? So I keep the card simple as to not distract from the digi. I just created a window and placed the digi in the window and then using the same cardstock, made a mat for the inside so you wouldn't see when to transparency film was attached. I finished it off with a rub-on sentiment.
It was easy to do, but I think I prefer coloring the images myself, but in a real rush, this will work. TFL

Happy Monday and Sympathy Card

It's hard to believe that we're already in the last week of September. All the mums and pumpkins are starting to come out for October - I love it! The days are cooler and it's wonderful to wake up of the mornings and have that crispness to the air.
Today's card is very simple, but just right for a sympathy card. I feel like sympathy cards can be overdone, so I usually try (I don't always accomplish this - know what I mean?) them simple and elegant. I've had this stamp for quite a while, added some lace and a flower. I did ink the edges for more of a vintage look.

Halloween Scene It

I would say I saved my favorite till last, but I liked all the cards posted this week.
This is one of the Scene It series from Bugaboo Stamps. Colored with copics and enjoyed every minute it took; except for the blue sky - that took some time, getting it just right and I think I did.
I found just the perfect sentiment I think - just a warm greeting - not scary or spooky, just sweet.
When I looked back over the last 5 posts, I realized everything was colored this week. Sorry, if you're a die-cutter, I have some posts for you in the future, but if you love to color, this was your week.
