Welcome to my world of cards. This is my journey of joy using mainly Cricut and Copics. You will see some different techniques from time to time and I hope you find some ideas that give you inspiration. Everything that I post is meant to be shared and if you wish to "scraplift", I'm happy to share. Have fun while you're are!
2019 Update: Follow me into a new world of weaving and various of types of fiber art. I will continue to make cards, my original love, but also branching out.

Weekly Thoughts

Well it has been HOT in Knoxville. 105 degrees broke records 2 days in a row and then we had a huge storm on Thursday evening. Lots of wind, but no real damage at our house. There was some damage in surrounding counties, so we were lucky. I had some cleanup to do on Friday morning, getting leaves and small branches out of the pool and off the patio. The rain from the storm was a welcome relief, but then the heat came back and with it, higher humidity. So it's been miserable outside since Friday and today is supposed to be the same way. Some cooler weather is supposed to be on its way by Tuesday and we're forecast to be in the high 80's. I can't wait!!

My MIL and I have started planning for her mother's 100th birthday party. (Myrtle, my grandmother in law) can never decide if she wants a party or not, so it's usually a last minute affair. The party is in mid August and I'm making 90 invitations. The color this year is yellow and elegant. Knowing how many I had to make I have tried to keep the design rather simple. I found some beautiful lace at Jo Ann's and got lucky because they had their 12 X 12 paper 5 for $1, so I was able to buy what I needed and stock up on some other colors. I computer generated the sentiments and party information. I had taken a picture of her to submit to the Today show's "Smuckers" Celebration and since it was such a good pic I wanted to add it to the front.
As of this morning, I have made 78, so I'm almost done.

Hope you all had a great week and that next week will be good to you as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kelly
